On Facebook, this video was circulating, and all the comments were to the tune of “God blessed her”, “It’s a miraculous”,”God is watching over”,”Praise Jesus” …. etc. I got so fucking heated up… I wanted to comment that science is to thank for this procedure. But alas, my fundy family kept my lips sealed.

As part of the early stages of the translation project, you write that Bereshit (Genesis) 1:1 should be rendered “the Supreme Ones”. My concern with this translation is that there is no “the” modifying Elohim (the word you are attempting to render “Supreme Ones”, while it is true the -im suffix indicates plural in nearly all circumstances, the context of the verse implies a singular word for deity should be used. Thus all translations since the first English translation have rendered it ‘God’. There is a dispute over the proper translation of [the word] Bereshit, whether the conventional “In the Beginning God created…” or the NRSV “When God created…” is to be preferred in English translation is not fully agreed upon. Thus I make no complaint on that matter. However, your translation “Supreme Ones” seems completely impossible to someone literate in Hebrew. This is never what Elohim has been taken to mean and no Jewish or Christian commentary ever took it as such. This is most definitely why you claim to be the “first correct” in translation. Your project implies that the Ancient Hebrew language was unbelievably pithy in content, containing not even two dozen words. Could you please explain this further, and how do you account for the over 8000+ words in the Hebrew Bible according to common convention? Also why has no professional philologist, linguist or Hebraica expert ever proposed this? Are they all simply Lucys in comparison to your team?
What is the qualifications of your team, where did you obtain your degrees from, what is the median age, what inspired this, what is your collective religious background if any and lastly, have any credible scholars looked into your findings? [If so, what are their thoughts, names and writings]

Without reading the amendment and only taking this for what is being said here, then there is nothing wrong with banning sharia. It is not unconstitutional since sharia is law.
It is not religious outside of what a group of religious people use it for their doctrine of extreme indoctrinational process’s.
We already have a ban on sharia as well as many other laws from other countries and religions, this is no different.
Sharia calls for whipping and death penalties for the slightest of crimes. With that said it also calls for a faster resolution to cases brought into its jurisdiction. When sharia is monitored and regulated to what it can rule on as it has been in England, the case load upon the normal court system starts to go down. The virdicts are fast and not so furious due to the limitations put on what the sharia can address.
Since the system is faster hundreds of non muslims flock to the court for resolutions to property matters, simple legal tasks etc.
Here’s where the real rub comes in, the sharia court system would be getting the money from fines not the local or state governments, and the non muslim people would get a false warm and fuzzy feeling about sharia, not knowing the etreme nature of it.
This is part of the islamification that islamics want to install in governments around the world, and its a passive agressive act of war. They are using “our” sensibilities” against us, our moderate nature not to mention our overall ignorance.

the difference is whos getting the attention in the news and how. christians are killing their kids mostly, however muslims are killing those with opposing views. Both are unexceptable in the 21st century
