North Carolina the next victim of a Creation Museum

I was dismayed to find this morning that North Carolina has joined the ranks of states that host a creation museum.

The Creation Museum of North Carolina was spotted by a Meetup forum member recently, and the general consensus there was that if the quality — or lack there of — of their website is any hint at the quality of the museum, then it’s probably not the best.

What is it with theists — especially fundamentalist Christians — and their crummy computer skills? Is it that they only trust members of their congregation for their computer hardware and services? Somehow I don’t think someone that thinks Bronze Age superstitions are true has sufficient education or critical thinking skills to provide quality computer services.

Anyway, the site is loaded with the usual ill-conceived creationist drivel that is sure to evoke laughs, grimaces, and face palms galore.

    SpaceX Falcon 9 Launches

The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket soared into space from Space Launch Complex-40 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, carrying the Dragon capsule to orbit at 3:44 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. The launch is the company's second demonstration test flight for NASA's Commercial Orbital Transportation Services, or COTS, Program. During the flight, there will be a series of check-out procedures to test and prove Dragon's systems, including rendezvous and berthing with the International Space Station. If the capsule performs as planned, the cargo and experiments it is carrying will be transferred to the station. Image Credit: NASA/Alan Ault
