Drive-Thru Evangelism with Trish

You gotta give Trisha Ramos credit. She one bad tract-distributing lady. If there were an ancient ninja clan dedicated to distributing evangelical tracts, Trisha would be their secret leader lurking in the back of the cave. She friends with Ray Comfort (surprise!) and she runs a blog called Fish with Trish where she displays some of [...]

Jack Horner: Building a dinosaur from a chicken

Renowned paleontologist Jack Horner has spent his career trying to reconstruct a dinosaur. He’s found fossils with extraordinarily well-preserved blood vessels and soft tissues, but never intact DNA. So, in a new approach, he’s taking living descendants of the dinosaur (chickens) and genetically engineering them to reactivate ancestral traits — including teeth, tails, and even [...]

Christians express their love to a Muslim praying at the White House

A muslim man prays on the street. Christian idiots insult him, throw crucifices at him and tells him to go back to his country. Jesus would have been very proud. Feel the Christian love:

Why Jerry Falwell’s Evangelical ‘Liberty University’ Is Getting Filthy Rich off Your Tax Money

How taxpayers are funding the world’s biggest Christian evangelical university. One might think that a private, decidedly conservative, and totally evangelical Christian University, that was founded by the late Rev. Jerry Falwell, who was openly critical of government programs, would spurn federal dollars. Au contraire mon ami. “I hope I live to see the day [...]

Jesus, Madman or Something Worse

Madman or Something Worse is a short film that critically examines the ethics of Jesus of Nazareth. Produced by Peter Brietbart, with animations by Many Artists Who Do One Thing. Part 1 of 2 Jesus of Nazareth was an awful moral philosopher. He compares badly to such modern greats such as Mill, Rawls or Ross [...]

Johan’s Ark Prepares For Its Maiden Voyage

Dutchman Johan Huibers decided to build an ark. Not a Lego or popsicle stick model, but a real-life replica of Noah’s Ark built to scale. He began his work in 2008 and recently finished this $1 million project. The wooden ship is immense. It weighs 3,000 tons, is 450 feet long and holds 1,500 passengers. [...]

Holy kudzu! Vine believed to resemble Jesus

The Gospel of John quotes Jesus as saying “I am the true vine,” and some folks in eastern North Carolina think they may have witnessed a literal demonstration. A utility pole about a mile south of Kinston has attracted attention in the last week or so from people who say the kudzu clinging to it [...]

Jehovah’s Witness writes to Hoover

The following is a letter a Jehovah’s Witness wrote to Hoover regarding typical topics an atheist would ask a theist about. I visited your home several times and talked with you for a bit about your beliefs as an atheist. I appreciate your hospitality and your willingness to discuss the Bible. This may surprise you, but [...]

Bible’s Different Authors Revealed By New Language Software

Software developed by an Israeli team is giving intriguing new hints about what researchers believe to be the multiple hands that wrote the Bible. The new software analyzes style and word choices to distinguish parts of a single text written by different authors, and when applied to the Bible its algorithm teased out distinct writerly [...]

    Curiosity at 'Cumberland'

NASA's Mars rover Curiosity used its front left Hazard-Avoidance Camera for this image of the rover's arm over the drilling target "Cumberland" during the 275th Martian day, or sol, of the rover's work on Mars (May 15, 2013). The rover team plans to use Curiosity's drill to collect a powdered sample from the interior of the rock for analysis by laboratory instruments inside the rover. This is the mission's second rock-drilling target. The rover drove from its position beside the first drilling target, "John Klein," to its position beside Cumberland with drives of 121 inches (308 centimeters) on Sol 273 (May 13) and 26.6 inches (67.5 centimeters) on Sol 275. Curiosity's total odometry on Mars is now 2,385 feet (727 meters). Image credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech
