Madonna and Muslim Toyboy Lover Separate over Religious Differences
Madonna’s nine month romance with a 24 year old hip-hop dancer Brahim Zaibat has hit the rocks when her toyboy lover’s family objected to his seeing the 52 year old queen of pop. Madonna is devoted to the Kabbalah and her boyfriend has been attending Kabbalah meetings with her in the nine months of their relationship.
The Daily Mail quotes its source as saying that, “Brahim’s family had told him they did not want him going to Kabbalah meetings and wanted him to stick to his Muslim beliefs, which caused some rows.”
The unlikely couple met sometime in September last year and have been spotted on several occasions in exclusive London restaurants. Nobody expected the relationship to last given the diverse backgrounds and yawing age-gap difference between the two.
According to the young boy’s mother Patricia Vidal, she received an unexpected call from her son who was in New York, and he told her shortly, “I’ve go a new girlfriend.”
Patricia Vidal, mother of four, said that she had been undisturbed when her son said something about a gap of eight years because she had thought that her son meant that her new girlfriend was eight years older than him. But the boy finally explained, “No. She is eight years older than you, mum–and her name is Madonna.”
Zaibat’s mother said that her jaws hung open when the news sank in and she described the situation as “surreal.”
While Brahim Zaibat is said to have gone to Lyons in France to recover from the split, Madonna seems to have left the entire affair behind her. She was the toast of paparazzi at the Annual Costume Institute gala in New York during the week.
