It would behoove you to elect christians to rule over you…

“I truly believe that the founding fathers when they set up the system of government that we enjoy today, they simply did so to keep from a theocracy taking over the way it was in the country that they left. They had the Church of England, they didn’t want the Church of the United States.”
“They wanted people to freely be able to freely worship or freely not be able to worship, how they choose. Now that doesn’t mean that people who are non-believers should be banned from office. That doesn’t mean that people who are fundamentalist christians should be banned from office. Or fundmentalist muslims, or fundmentalist satanists, or fundmentalist any belief system should be banned from office.”
“Now, what it does say, and you’ll find this in a lot of the writings of the founding fathers is that it would behoove you to elect christians to rule over you because that is the way this particular system was originally designed. But that’s not a necessity. It would behoove you, but it’s not a necessity.”

“Let me give you an example so we have a level playing field and so we know we’re comparing apples to apples. Let me talk to you about my friend AAL (AtheistAtLarge). He’ll be the first one to tell you, there should be nobody with any faith whatsoever. That you should check your faith at the door of the courthouse or the White House or wherever it is you’re serving in government. No sir, that’s not how it’s supposed to work at all.”
“And those kind of people, when they say ‘separation of church and state’, that’s EXACTLY what they mean. They don’t really know. As a matter of fact, they’ll be the first ones to tell you that our founding fathers were predominately deist or atheist. They have no clue of what our history truly is.”

Once again, it is ChristianHillbilly who has no clue “of what our history really is.” He wishes history to be as he wants it to be. Sadly, for ChristianHillbilly, many of the founding fathers of our country truly were deists, even though he talks himself into believing they were Christians.
